Sporta Japan (Sporta) is pleased to announce that our CEO, Yusuke Katoku, took the stage at the 2025 Osaka–Kansai Expo to deliver a keynote speech on the importance of “taking on global challenges” in the basketball world, highlighting initiatives such as our flagship project GLOBALLERS.*

*GLOBALLERS is a junior basketball program launched in partnership with Sun Chlorella, a leading health food company, with the goal of nurturing future NBA players.

During the talk, Yusuke shared insights drawn from his experience, addressing themes such as:

・What is the most critical factor in achieving success overseas?

・How should parents support their children when they take on challenges abroad at a young age?

・What kind of environments and opportunities are provided to top athletes in U.S. high schools and universities?

Comment from CEO Yusuke Katoku:

“With the rise of social media, access to overseas information has become much closer. As a result, the number of athletes pursuing opportunities abroad has increased dramatically. At the same time, however, it is also true that more athletes are struggling or facing experiences that differ completely from their expectations.

It was an honor to speak about both the importance of global challenges and the risks involved at Expo 2025, a global event that brings people together from around the world. My hope is that those who listened to my talk will be inspired to take on meaningful challenges overseas.

Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President Nakayama of Sun Chlorella for making this opportunity possible. I look forward to continuing to work together with Sun Chlorella to support the next generation of Japanese athletes challenging the world stage.”

Sporta will continue to drive initiatives such as GLOBALLERS, supporting the next generation in their pursuit of global opportunities through sports.
