Pro Handball USA is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, in August 2026, bringing together the world’s top professional handball clubs from Europe and Asia. As an invitation-only international league, it represents one of the most prestigious and globally anticipated events in the sport’s history.

Through this landmark decision, Honey Bee Ishikawa will become the sole representative team from Asia, marking a historic milestone for Japanese women’s handball and a major step forward in the sport’s global recognition.

Yusuke Katoku, CEO of Sporta Japan, commented:

“Pro Handball USA is a groundbreaking international super league that the handball world has long been waiting for - set in the world’s largest sports market, the United States.

Our mission from the beginning was clear: to ensure that a Japanese team could take part in this historic stage and bring fresh energy to the Japanese handball community. From the initial concept to the final negotiation, we worked hand in hand with Honey Bee Ishikawa to make this vision a reality.

This achievement represents a major step for Japan’s handball community, and we believe it signals a new era in which Japanese athletes, teams, and sports content will increasingly expand onto the global stage - just as stars like Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto have done in baseball.

At Sporta, our mission is to serve as a bridge connecting the world through sports - creating impact, opportunity, and inspiration for all who are part of the global sports ecosystem.”
