NEW YORK, New York, October 13, 2026 - Sporta Japan Corporation has brokered and supported Sun Chlorella’s Ambassador Program by signing partnerships with four Japanese women’s national basketball team players which includes Shiori Yasuma, Norika Konno, Mai Yamamoto, and Stephanie Mawuli. Drawing on Sporta’s extensive network of athletes and experience, Sporta managed the process from initial planning through signing agreements to help provide support throughout the process.

When nutritional supplement manufacturer Sun Chlorella began seeking new athlete ambassadors, Sporta Japan identified the rising worldwide popularity of women’s basketball, as an unique opportunity to connect the growth potential of women’s basketball with the brand’s marketing efforts targeting female consumers and reaching an underserved market.

As a result, four leading players from Japan’s women’s national basketball team—Shiori Yasuma, Norika Konno, Mai Yamamoto, and Stephanie Mawuli— have signed ambassador agreements with Sun Chlorella and are now taking part in a variety of campaigns and initiatives.

Studies show women typically have greater influence than men pertaining to household purchasing decisions*. Yet partnerships between brands and female athletes marketing to women often remain underutilized, highlighting the importance and how essential a woman’s perspective is for product development and marketing. The ambassador partnerships secured by Sporta between Sun Chlorella and the four national team women’s basketball players offers a model for best in class practices on how to support the continued advancement of female athletes and reach female consumers.

Building on this initiative, Sporta Japan Cooperation will continue to support Sun Chlorella to address business challenges and reach more audiences through the connection of athletes and sports.
