Job Description
◎ Position Overview
Sporta Japan Corporation is a US-Japan sports business agency headquartered in New York City with operations across NYC and Tokyo. We bridge the US and Japanese sports markets through three core business lines: sports technology distribution, events and media production, and consulting/partnerships. Our mission is to deliver world-class sports experiences across borders.
We are seeking a Back Office Associate to support our day-to-day operations as we transition from our current team member. You will work closely with the CEO and business unit leads in a small, fast-moving team, playing a foundational role in keeping the business running smoothly.
◎ Responsibilities

Accounts payable and payments processing (invoice handling, wire transfers, expense reimbursements, coordination with our bookkeeper)

Daily and monthly cash flow tracking and account management support

Vendor onboarding, contract filing, and internal document organization

Updates and maintenance of the corporate website

Posting and content updates across social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)

Meeting notes, light research, and Japanese ↔ English translation

Administrative support related to payroll and benefits

Logistics operations related to sports tours and events(including transportation, accommodation, and restaurant arrangements, as well as schedule coordination with local sports-related organizations and companies)

Other back office support as requested by the CEO and team leads
◎ Required Qualifications

Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (written and spoken)

Prior experience in back office, accounting, executive assistant, or operations roles

Comfortable with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail)

Strong attention to detail with numbers and documents; ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel

Self-starter who can research, ask the right questions, and move work forward independently
◎Preferred Qualifications

US work experience or experience working with US-based companies

Familiarity with accounting/payroll software such as QuickBooks or OnPay

Experience with website CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), Canva, or basic image editing tools

Interest in sports business or US-Japan cross-border business

Location: Hybrid (Manhattan, NYC office + remote)

Hours: Approximately 15–25 hours per week (flexible, to be discussed)
